was injured in car accident in 1983. She sustained a C-8/T-1 spinal
chord injury that left her an incomplete quadriplegic. Ellen functions
primarily as a paraplegic and uses a manual wheelchair from
Nissin for
mobility. Ellen has broken down many stereotypes and has helped change
the way people see themselves and others. She has been seen on Howard Stern, Donahue, Sally Jesse Raphael, Larry King Live, Good Morning
America and a number of other national and international television
shows. Ellen has lectured in Brazil, Australia and England. She
continues to lecture throughout the United States and abroad.
Ellen is a dynamic and personable speaker. She
continually uses her talents to educate and entertain. She is one of the
first performers with a disability to be cast as a romantic lead in an
international video production that includes a steamy Hollywood love scene.
Another first is Ellen's mainstream poster, A Body in Motion Remains in Motion.

sophisticated, and motivational. Ellen has also produced an educational
video, "The Media Crippling the Disabled: Healing
Broken Images" in hopes of bringing attention to the role the
media plays in reinforcing negative images of people with disabilities and

Currently Ellen owns and operates Chasing the Moon Productions, a
company geared at helping people
discover themselves and their potential as
well as life and its possibilities through various media. Her clients

State Northridge, Mercy Hospital,
